Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
The view from "My Chair" this morning - Ecclesiastes 4:9,10. Friendship is gift that requires bravery. It is often easy to share the fun things and good times. Maybe I'm the only one, but I find it painfully difficult to be brave and share my times of struggle even with my closest of friends. Anyone else with me? I don't want to be a burden or an inconvenience to them. It's just easier to believe that what you see on Instagram or Facebook is real and others don't struggle. However, here is what I've discovered, courage to be honest and ask for help when I'm struggling is a more powerful bond than only sharing the easy, good things. Truly, allowing a good friend to see all aspects of your life and help you in times of trouble can be life-saving. Okay, maybe (see picture above) it's not life and death, but a good friend saving you from Botox can provide giggles for years to come. If you are afraid to let a friend all the way in, take a deep breath and do it anyway. You'll be glad you did. Until We Chat Again, Crystal
