Psalm 42:1,2

The view from "My Chair" this morning - Psalm 42:1,2.  Thirst is a wicked thing.  It overtakes your senses until all you can do is think about getting water and quenching that desire!  Deer pant for water when they are to hot.  It becomes an all consuming drive to find a stream and drink.  This is the same overtaking desire that the Psalmist is expressing here.  I want to so deeply desire to be with Him and soak in His presence that I am literally driven to overcome any obstacle in my way.  This longing should become the gasoline that propels us toward Him.  When deer finally find the stream and are able to drink, they also go into the water.  This erases any scent of places they've been.  I believe this is also true for you and I.  When we drink deeply of God and soak in His presence, it erases the things of this world that cling to us and try to pollute our hearts.  If you don't long for Him, ask Him to create an unquenchable thirst inside of you. His Father's heart is attentive to your voice and longs to be "with" you!  Until We Chat Again, Crystal - The Plank-Eyed Girl
