Chains - Philemon 1:4
I have a confession. When I see cool things in the world, my mind does this funny thing. It starts playing with it to see how we might be over to pull it over and use it for Jesus. Awhile ago a friend of mine was explaining "Prayer Beads” and how they help her remember to pray certain prayers. If you have been in the Catholic church, this should sound familiar. As I was listening, I had a lightning bolt moment.
Arriving home, I rooted around in my jewelry making stuff and could only find pieces of old chains. Propelled to try out my idea, I strung them together and quickly found charms representing people and situations on my prayer list. I attached them to this long chain and hung it from my car mirror.
As I go about the day, it is an easy visual reminder to pray for these situations and people. Such a simple tool has really made Philemon 1:4 come alive for me. I would love to share this with you.
