If you really knew the darkness that tries to creep up, like a unexpected predator and swallow me, you would probably realize how human I am. If you really knew the effort that my enemy exerts in order to silence me, you would be surprised. If you really knew how black the darkness was in my moments of struggle, you might think differently of me. But here is what I suspect - you do know exactly what I am talking about because you struggle too. Do you feel that if you reveal the truth of your struggle, others will think of you as “less” of a Christ Follower. I want you to know that is a lie straight from the pit of hell! Darkness is a real thing and so is the battle. Satan is a real predator and He seeks to devour, debilitate, and destroy us. His only goal is to silence us by whatever modes he deems effective. Girlfriend, he can’t read your mind but, boy o’boy, he watches to see what you care about. How else do you think he knows what to go after?

When you invite someone else in, our Father uses them to bring His light and help. Two are better than one! Where there is light, the darkness recedes and you are free.
