Jonah 3:1,2

My view from "The Chair" this morning - Jonah 3:1,2.  Can I just be real?  I really identify with Jonah.  I passionately love God but sometimes I just want to use "Selective" hearing, especially if it is a difficult assignment.  I am embarrassed to admit it, but I have even been known to pull a "Jonah" and hightail it in the opposite direction.  Anyone else do this? Often though, I just drag my feet and even mask my reluctance as "Wanting to make sure it is Him speaking and not me making something up."  Truth be told, there is nothing wrong with my hearing or God's ability to speak clearly to me.   I LOVE that the Lord was patient and came to Jonah a second time.  I LOVE that our God is relentless and gives second and third chances for obedience.  What is it He has been asking you to do, but you have used your "selective" hearing to ignore?  Maybe today is the day you say "Yes" to His request.  Until We Chat Again, Crystal - The Plank-Eyed Girl
