Matthew 7:24
My view from "The Chair" this morning - Matthew 7:24. Rock painting is all the rage where I live. People paint rocks and hide them for strangers to find. When you find them, you take a picture and post them to a local website and then re-hide them. Anyone ever done this? Today, I discovered this rock. As I paused to look carefully at it, I felt the Father nudge my heart. Here was truth right in front of me on a rock. In this crazy, fast-paced, self-reliant, ever-shifting world I reside in, the truth is that I long for solid footing and eternal truth that is unshakeable. This verse is magnificently illustrated right here on this rock in front of me. If you and I truly want a solid foundation to build our lives on, we must soak ourselves in the Word and be obedient to His teaching. What will you use to remind yourself of this truth today? Just pop a photo in the comment section. I think I'm going to go paint a rock. Until We Chat Again, Crystal - The Plank-Eyed Girl
