Use Your Voice! - Psalm 5:3
Warm sun streaked through the window, like a long-awaited embrace by a friend, it wrapped itself around my jet-lagged body, and wouldn’t let go. That is when I heard it. Her soft, sweet two-year-old voice drifted into my ears. She was making her request known to her Daddy. Laying as still as an exhausted sea turtle, I could hear her Daddy reassuring her that he had heard her request and that ZsaZsa (that’s me) would be up before long. He heard her voice, but he also knew the longing of her heart. He was reassuring her that her request and wait would be honored and ZsaZsa would soon be scooping her up.
Do you know that every morning, our Creator waits to hear our voices? He can tell them apart and He longs to hear them. Just like you can pick your child’s voice out of a crowd. He can tell his individual children’s voices apart. Just like we love to hear our children coming through the house calling our names, He delights in hearing us call out to Him. He misses our voices when we don’t chat with Him in the morning, as well as, throughout the day. His ears are toward us and He hears the faintest of our whispers and requests. Before my feet hit the floor, I make it a practice to lay my thanksgiving, surrender, and requests before Him. Then I like to continue our conversation throughout the day, but especially in the shower - lol!. He loves the cacophony of our voices whispered, spoken, sung, or even shouted directed toward His ears. Will you add your voice to mine and into this magnificent chorus?
Until We Chat Again,
Crystal
