Death in the Greenhouse - John 12:24
My view from "The Chair" this morning - John 12:24. From my fleshly view, death seems so final. It seems like the end, but maybe I’ve been wrong. Here is what I am discovering, it is most likely just the beginning! One of my words for 2018 was “Death”. Yes, you read that right, “Death”. I was NOT happy with that word and honestly we had a BIG wrestling match over it. However, in looking back at all the things that died in my life (activity groups, plans, opportunities, control, etc.), I can see new life forming.
We have a very cool greenhouse that my husband built a few years ago. I learned a great deal about seeds last year when we attempted to start both flowers and vegetables. I observed, the seeds that allowed themselves to be broken and emptied into the soil, produced prolifically. But the seeds that refused and floated to the top of the soil, lay there and died. A seed has to literally split open and die in order to grow and be multiplied. If you feel like He is asking you to let some things die, I am here to tell you it will be okay. In fact, it will turn out better than “Okay”. Here, take my hand. Together, we will walk with you through the death process. You can trust His untangled view.
