No Casket. No Funeral. No Body.

No Casket. No Funeral. No Body.

“There wasn’t a casket. There wasn’t a funeral. There wasn’t even a body.  No obituary was ever penned. No one sent sympathy cards. No one stopped by to check in. No one brought food by my home. In fact, it felt like no one even noticed that she had died, except me. I don’t have an exact date, but I do know that she is gone and in her place is someone that I don’t know but deeply love. Someone who was born of my flesh.” These words were penned over two years ago on a day filled with harsh realities. Friends, the story is long and one that I am still living, but so are many of you. Here is the hope though, He makes ALL things new! People have to be broken before they can experience His healing restoration. His healing restoration isn’t one that puts things back as before. It is literally a transformation, a repurposing. This is the hope we can hold onto and live by.

This morning these words are for me, but I will let you listen in ... if you want.  Jesus wept.  It's okay to cry.  Jesus cried legit tears.  His heart was broken and sad at times.  Sometimes our hearts are shattered and distraught.  It's okay. Our tears matter to Him. Psalm 56:8 states, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” He sees us and is “with” us. He is not a foreigner to sorrow. Let your tears fall as you pour out your heart to Him. He’s got a bottle with your name on it.

Until We Chat Again,
Crystal
